📌 SBI Clerk Recruitment 2026 – Overview

Note: The advertisement separately shows other horizontal backlog/reservation figures such as PwBD and Ex-Servicemen. These should not simply be added to the 7,680 + 287 figure because they are horizontal reservations.

🎓 Educational Qualification

Candidates should have a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university/equivalent institution.

Candidates appearing in their final year/semester may also be eligible subject to the conditions specified in the official notification. The qualification requirement is to be fulfilled by 31 December 2026.

🎂 Age Limit

As on 01 April 2026:

• Minimum Age: 20 Years
• Maximum Age: 28 Years
• Age relaxation is applicable to reserved categories as per Government/SBI rules.

💰 Salary / Pay Scale

SBI Junior Associate pay scale is:

₹24,050 – ₹64,480

The starting basic pay for graduates is ₹26,730, including two advance increments. Total starting emoluments can be around ₹46,000 per month in a metropolitan centre, depending on allowances and location.

📝 Selection Process

The selection process generally includes:

1. Preliminary Examination
2. Main Examination
3. Local Language Proficiency Test, wherever applicable

The Preliminary Examination is tentatively scheduled for September 2026, while the Main Examination is tentatively scheduled for November 2026.
