🎓 Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

To apply for the Assistant Lineman post, candidates must meet the following criteria by the last date of application submission:

1. Academic Qualification: Matriculation (10th pass) or its equivalent level.

2. Technical Qualification: ITI Course in Electrician or Wireman Trade from an NCVT or SCVT approved institution.

3. Language Proficiency: Must have passed Punjabi of at least Matriculation standard or its equivalent.

💰 Pay Scale & Salary

• Initial Basic Pay: Rs. 19,900/- per month (Minimum admissible pay under the 7th CPC/Pay Matrix).

• During the 3-year probation period, newly appointed candidates will receive only the minimum basic pay without any grade pay, dearness allowance, or increments (except TA/medical reimbursement).

📝 Selection Process & Exam Pattern

Selection will be based entirely on a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Document Verification. There is no negative marking. The exam duration is 3 hours (180 minutes).

The test consists of two parts:

Part-I: Mandatory Punjabi Language Qualifying Test

• Questions: 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

• Nature: Qualifying only.

• Requirement: Candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks (25 Marks) in Part-I. Failure to qualify Part-I will result in disqualification, and Part-II will not be evaluated.

Part-II: Main Competitive Exam (For Merit)

The final merit list will be prepared based on scores achieved in Part-II.

• Concerned Technical Discipline (Electrician/Wireman ITI): 50 Questions

• Punjabi Language Knowledge: 20 Questions

• General Knowledge: 10 Questions

• Reasoning: 10 Questions

• Arithmetic/Maths: 10 Questions

• Total Part-II Marks: 100
