Vacancy Details & Qualification

• Post Name: Physical Training Instructor (PTI – Primary Cadre)

• Total Vacancies: 2000 Posts (650 reserved for Women)

• Pay Scale: ₹29,200/- per month (Fixed salary during 3-year probation period without allowances)

Educational Qualification:

1. Passed 10+2 examination.

2. Minimum 2-year Diploma or Certificate in Physical Education (D.P.Ed. / C.P.Ed.) or equivalent course.

3. Note: Candidates in the final year of D.P.Ed./C.P.Ed. are also eligible to apply, provided they pass before the date of the written examination.

4. Must have passed Matriculation (10th) with Punjabi language.

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2025)

• General: 18 to 37 years

• SC/BC (Punjab): 5 years relaxation (up to 42 years)

• Govt Employees (Punjab/Other States/Central): Upper age limit 45 years

• Widows/Divorced Women (Punjab): Upper age limit 40 years

• Persons with Disabilities (PwD – Punjab): 10 years relaxation

• Ex-Servicemen: As per government service rules

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a 100-mark evaluation system:

1. Punjabi Language Qualifying Test: Mandatory test of Matriculation standard (Must score at least 50% to qualify).

2. Departmental Written Examination: 70 Marks (Objective MCQs).

3. Sports Achievements Weightage: Up to 30 Marks (Grade A: 30, Grade B: 25, Grade C: 10, Grade D: 5).

4. Physical Eligibility Test (PET): Qualifying in nature (Candidates must qualify 3 out of 5 components). PwD candidates are exempted from PET.

• General & Other Categories: ₹2,000/-

• Reserved Categories (SC/ST): ₹1,000/-

• Ex-Servicemen (Self): No Fee

How to Apply

2. Click on “New Registration” and fill in your basic details.

3. Login using your Registration Number & Password.

4. Upload your recent passport-size photograph, postcard photo, signature, and clear scans of all finger and thumb impressions.

5. Pay the application fee online.

6. Submit the form and print out a copy for future reference.
