🎓 Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification (As of 23/06/2026)

  • Degree: Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), or equivalent from a recognized university.

  • Computer Literacy: Must have proficiency in computers (Word Processing and Spread Sheets).

  • Language Requirement: Passed Matriculation (10th) with Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects, OR completed 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subjects.

2. Age Limit (As of 01/01/2026)

  • General / Unreserved: 18 to 42 Years

  • SC / BC of Haryana: 18 to 47 Years (5 years relaxation)

  • In-Service Employees: 18 to 45 Years

  • Unmarried/Widowed/Divorced Women (Haryana): 18 to 47 Years

  • PwBD (Haryana): 10 years relaxation (Up to a maximum of 52 years)

  • Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation equal to military service length plus 3 years.

📝 Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The selection will be based strictly on merit generated via a multi-stage examination process.

Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT) — Written Exam (Duration: 2 Hours)

  • General Knowledge (Objective): 50 Questions (50 Marks)

  • English Composition (Objective & Subjective): 50 Marks total.

    • Objective: 50 Questions (20 Marks)

    • Subjective (To be typed on computer): Essay, Letter, Précis, and Translation (30 Marks)

  • Negative Marking: 1/4th ($0.25$) mark deducted for every wrong objective answer.

  • Qualifying Criteria: Minimum 33% in each subject and 40% in the aggregate.

Stage 2: Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) — Qualifying Only

Candidates shortlisted from the CBT will sit for the CPT, which has two parts:

  1. Spread Sheet Test: 10 Marks / 10 Minutes (Min. 4 marks required to qualify).

  2. English Computer Typing Test: Minimum speed of 30 W.P.M.

Stage 3: Document Verification & Interaction

Final merit list will be prepared solely on the normalized marks obtained in the written CBT exam.
