The Punjab Govt. today appointed Educationist and Lawyer Raman Bahl as Chairman of the reconstituted Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board. A Spokesperson for the Chief Minister’s Office said the notification on Raman Bahl’s appointment had already been issued by the Personnel Department. The Post of the Chairman fell vacant after the abolition of the 11 Member Subordinate Services Selection Board on February 27, 2018.
Raman Bahl Son of former Minister Khushal Bahl, is a practicing Lawyer at Gurdaspur courts. He was member of the Senate of Panjab University, Chandigarh from 2008-2012. Prior to this, he also served as senate member of Guru Nanak Dev University, from 2004-2006, besides being a Syndicate member of GNDU for One Year. Raman Bahl has also been on the Board of Directors of Beant College of Engineering and Technology, Gurdaspur, and had also been Chairman of the Gurdaspur Education Society.
