Panjab University Chandigarh invites applications from the eligible candidates who fulfill the eligibility conditions for fill up the post of Daily wage basis Helpers on purely temporary /contract basis on current D.C. rates.other details of these posts like age, qualification, experience, how to apply, etc. are given below:

Name of Post : Helper
Qualification: 8th Standard passed.
Age Limit:
- Not less than 18 years and more than 37 years as on the closing date prescribed for receipt of applications.
Relaxation in upper age limit:
Upper age limit is relax able :-
- to the extent of 5 years for Scheduled Caste (of all India);
- to the extent of 10 years for Physically handicapped persons on production of Medical Certificate from the competent authority.
- Capable to lift heavy bundles of Answer Books & other Articles
- Only Male candidates may apply.
Selection criteria:
1.Basic Qualification
- Middle pass – 8 % of marks obtained
- Matriculation – 2 % of marks obtained
2. Physical fitness – 5 Marks
3.Experience – 5 Marks
- (1 mark for each year, maximum 5 Marks).
- Note: the experience should be of Peon/Helper/Coolie from Government office/Institution/Organization/ University/ etc.
4. Interview – 10 Marks

Note:
The eligible/suitable persons will be engaged as Daily Wage basis Helpers on purely temporary/ contract basis for the fixed period on current D.C. rates, for working six days in a week. The said assignment shall automatically come to an end on expiry of the aforesaid contract period or completion of the aforesaid seasonal examination/other office
work whichever is earlier, without any obligation of prior notice. The Daily Wage basis Helper shall not be entitled to either retrenchment compensation or to any claim for continuity in service or re-employment.

The Application Form/Proforma can be obtained from the Establishment Branch, Panjab University, Chandigarh, FREE OF COST on any working day from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The last date for submission of application is 06.01.2015 up to 4:00 P.M.
